In need of serious family help.?

I don’t really know where to turn to and i feel kind of dumb its on Yahoo Answers but i feel like i REALLY need help. This is long, so unless you are extremely bored i wouldn’t read it.

To try and sum this up: I am 17 years old and i am graduating high school this year, (not with the best grades, GPA: 2.4) and i was planning on taking a gap year and leaving the USA to go live in South America to do volunteer work (like i had planned for for quite some time) until recently i was with my extended family and they said how dumb and stupid it was so my parents went back on there word, and now im left with nothing to do after highschool. This is basically the least of my problems right now.
As i grew up i had a really good childhood. I grew up in an upper class suburb of Detriot and it seemed like i had the best family in the world. We were all so close, i would’ve rather chose to be with them over friends, such. My parents really did their best But as the years went by things started to change and there were a few bumps in the road. Firstly i lost my second mother, my nanny. She was pretty young and her and her mom would babysit us from when i was born until i was about 8. She started to turn to drugs and wouldn’t show up. I would spend mornings in my room crying when she didn’t come. It was really hard for me. After that i started to rebel when my parents would hire other people to come and watch us, i would behave really bad, and i just wouldn’t let anyone else come and watch us. Although this may have been a selfish act, i was so young i just didn’t know what was going on. As cliche as it sounds, I started to hate myself at such an innocent age and brought it upon that it was my fault. It was then that i started to realize that i would kind of be the outcast of the family, since it affected me in such a different way.
After that things were okay for awhile. I went on with my life until i was in about 7th grade when my whole world basically changed. My parents announced they would be having another kid. I was already in the middle with my older sister being 15 and my younger being 9. When my little sister was born, yes things were obviously going to change, but i just still didn’t get the impact. Once again time went by until about a year later. My older sister was in highschool and i was still really innocent. I was taught in school that drinking was VERY bad and drugs were never acceptable. My parents were social drinkers so i was used to that but i knew you shouldn’t be drinking unless you were older then 21. I found out from one of my good friends older siblings, that my sister was infact a huge partier and smoked weed. At first i was really really hurt, i had asked her about these things and she told me that she didn’t, and it wasn’t cool to do that and blah blah blah. Besides the fact, another cliche thing, if my older sister did it, then i could.
Also inbetween some of this i had a next door neighbor the same age. We were best friends but she also turned to drugs in highschool. (herion)
So yeah i started highschool in the popular scene of drinking and such. I started to fade out of my family more and more as years went by. When i was a sophomore i took a little break from this life and started to focus on school. I made the honor roll, and whatever, but when this was happening i started to loose all of my friends, since i did live a different lifestyle. I have depression and it really started to take affect more then before. I started having sucide thoughts and such, and the whole time my parents denyed it. My mom started to suffer with being an alchohalic and my dad was constintly working. This meaning i had to start watching my little sister a lot more.
So at about my junior year i found a new group of friends. I basicallty said fuck school. And i started to smoke a lot of weed. At first this made everything about 100x worse. The whole year i was depressed and lied to my parents and had a horrible all around family realashonship. They would ground me, restricting me from everything, which in my case caused me to rebel harder. As the summer came things just got worse and worse.
We live in another town in the summer in northern michigan as i have my whole life. For about 3/4 of the summer it continued. I went to work at my camp for two weeks and the day i returned home, it was basically the straw that broke the camels back (pt1) i got in a huge fight with my parents and left, and then it happened again about two months later. After the second time, I went through a period of enlightment. (as i like to call it)
I woke up and realized one morning that i was finally over with my high school depression (who knows when/if it will come back) When i was still a junior I had been called by a school official as a “self medictor” behind my back. When i went through my enlightment i realized that i love weed. And if i don’t smoke it th
Also, i have no intention of going to rehab or anything… im addicted to weed not coke. i don’t see anything wrong with it because like i said i believe it makes me a better person.
I live in Michigan where the drug is LEGAL, maybe not to everybody, but i fully plan on getting a card when i turn 18. Although currently, the law in Michigan states that you can not get a card for depression. I am already a big activist on the issue.

Hi guys! Its my boyfriends 21st birthday coming up next week, and what I want to give him is a big professional looking poster of his car with a nice frame to put up in his room, because his car really is his pride & joy. BUT, I have a problem. I only have 1 appropriate looking picture of his car, and I cant take a new 1 because his cars paint job isn’t looking very nice at the moment. So I have to use the older picture. The thing is I want to change the background to black, and then make a reflection of the car like this picture has: http://www.flickr.com/photos/47195975@N03/4326823209/in/photostream/
so it looks like a professional poster you know?
I also need to get rid of the reflection on the bonnet & get rid of the tiny part of me that is showing through the window, and also maybe make the window look closed. The problem is that I don’t have a computer, Im using 1 of the university’s computers right now, and even if I did have a computer with photoshop on it, I wouldn’t know how to do it myself… So im hoping that somebody will help me out with this, im really desperate! I also need somebody to be able to tell me if I take this to a photo shop, will they be able to print it to A1 or A2 (poster size?) or if the pictures quality is too bad. If it is I’ve heard of interpolating the picture on photoshop or something, to improve the quality? Is this possible and if you can do that or something else that will make the picture be able to enlarge without looking horrible? Thank you so much everybody, I will give best answer to the person who does this for me, I can even post it multiple times & if you answer again I will best answer you again and again so that you can get lots of points! Hoping somebody can help me! oh, here is the pic of my boyfriends car that needs editing: http://www.flickr.com/photos/47195975@N03/4327555652/in/photostream/
Thanx for the feedback Selina. I guess I have no choice but to take a new picture then, even though the paint is peeling a bit. I have a Fujifilm A170, it has 10.2mega pixels. Will that be sufficient to take a good enough quality picture? Are there any tips I could use when taking a picture that I plan on enlarging, or any settings that I could change on the camera? And then, what size (in mb or kb) should the picture be afterwards when I check it on the computer so that I know it is big enough? Thanx so much for your help! Oh, and if my camera is not good enough to make an A1 or A2 picture, what size picture can I make with it?

The legal process for child injury claims differs from the legal process for cases brought by adults. For starters, a child under the age of 18 is considered a minor. In Washington, a minor cannot file a lawsuit on his or her own. This can only be done by a guardian appointed by the court. A guardian is someone who the court believes will adequately protect the child’s interests and do what is best for the child in the legal case that is being filed on the child’s behalf.

To start a lawsuit, a petition must be filed, asking the court to appoint a suitable guardian who will bring the lawsuit on the child’s behalf. Oftentimes the guardian appointed by the court will be the child’s parent or parents. However, there may be a problem with using the child’s parents to act as guardians. For example, if the child was injured in an automobile accident that was caused by the child’s parent, then the child’s claim against the parent creates a conflict of interest which will prohibit that parent from acting as the guardian in the lawsuit. But a conflict may still exist if the child merely has a potential claim against the parent. If there is any evidence that the defense might argue the parent was partially or wholly responsible for the child’s injuries, then it is usually a good idea to find another person to act as guardian on the child’s behalf. Once the court grants the petition, an order is entered stating that the guardian is authorized to bring a lawsuit on behalf of the child.

After the guardian is appointed by the court, then that person can legally file a lawsuit for the child. In addition to the petition, there are additional documents called pleadings that must be filed in court along with a fee paid to the clerk. These pleadings are called the summons and complaint. The summons informs the person being sued that a lawsuit is being filed and that a response to the lawsuit is due within a certain period of time. The complaint describes the particular cause of action that is being alleged against the person being sued. The complaint will also set forth facts which support the cause of action. A complaint must be reasonably specific and inform the person being sued of the grounds supporting the claim.

The person who files a lawsuit is called the plaintiff. The person or entity who is being sued is called the defendant. Technically, the plaintiff is considered the guardian acting on behalf of the child. The plaintiff must arrange to personally serve a copy of the summons and complaint on the defendant. You only have a certain amount of time to settle your case or file a lawsuit and then personally serve the defendant. In Washington, this time is usually 3 years from the date of the accident. This deadline is called the statute of limitations. In claims involving minor children, the statute of limitations period is usually tolled (delayed) and will not start to run until the child’s 18th birthday. Then the child has three years until the child’s 21st birthday to settle the claim or file a lawsuit.

If you cannot settle the case with the dog owner?s insurance company, the next step is to start a lawsuit in court. Documents, called pleadings, must be filed in court along with a fee paid to the court clerk. These pleadings are called the summons and complaint. The summons informs the person being sued that a lawsuit is being filed and that a response to the lawsuit is due within a certain period of time (usually 20 days). The complaint describes the particular cause of action or legal theory that is being alleged against the person being sued, along with a description of the facts that support that theory. A complaint must be reasonably specific and inform the person being sued of the specific grounds supporting the claim.

The person who files a lawsuit is called the plaintiff. The dog owner who is being sued is called the defendant. The plaintiff must arrange to serve personally a copy of the summons and complaint on the defendant. The plaintiff only has a certain amount of time to settle the claim or file a lawsuit and then personally serve the defendant. In Washington, this time is usually 3 years from the date of the incident giving rise to the claim.28 This deadline is called the statute of limitations. In claims involving minor children, the statute of limitations period is usually tolled (delayed) and will not start to run until the child?s 18th birthday. Then the child has three years until his or her 21st birthday to settle the claim or file a lawsuit.

It is a dangerous practice to wait until the statute of limitations period is about to expire before settling a claim or filing a lawsuit. If a lawsuit is filed right before the deadline and if the defendant cannot be found, or if the wrong defendant is served, the case could be dismissed and the plaintiff would get nothing. For this reason, it may be prudent to hire an attorney well before the statute of limitations expires. Many attorneys will refuse to accept a case when the statute of limitations period is about to expire because there may be insufficient time to investigate the case, file suit, and locate and personally serve the proper defendant. As such, it is in your best interest and in the best interest of that case as a whole, to get a lawyer as soon as possible.
