I will be turning 21 while traveling, Will my Drivers License from NY still be valid if marked Under 21?
I will be turning 21 while on a trip to florida and will not be able to pick up my New York State drivers license. I would like to celebrate my twenty first birthday and i do not believe that my ID expires. Is it still valid? Also, i would like to know if It is valid for traveling after i turn 21, as i need it to return to NY.

it should have your date of birth on your license.

yes it shoudl be perfectly valid. after all isn’t the wording “under 21 under 00-00-2009″?

It’s valid until the expiry date. If it says Under 21, they can check the date of birth to make sure you’re over 21.

The ‘Under 21′ is just for a quick check. Your date of birth is also on there, so whoever looks at it can see that you’ve turned 21 since the license was issued. So you should be fine.
Did you know the law in some states allows you to go out and get drunk on the evening before your 21st birthday?

YES, your birthdate doesnt expire, the document that states your birthyear does

Check to see if your license will expire when you turn 21. If not, you’re okay. Otherwise, you could be in a lot of trouble.

Check the expiration date on your license. If it expires on your 21st birthday, you may have problems. If the bouncer sees it is expired, it is not a legal form of ID.
You can renew it before you leave, you do not have to wait until your birthday.
