Regarding Validity of A NYS drivers liscence marked under 21 while traveling and turning 21 while traveling?

I will be turning 21 while on a trip to florida and will not be able to pick up my New York State drivers license. I would like to celebrate my twenty first birthday and i do not believe that my ID expires. Is it still valid? Also, i would like to know if It is valid for traveling after i turn 21, as i need it to return to NY.

Your drivers license does expire. There should be an expiration date on it. If it will still be valid there should be no problem. They should look at the birth date on it anyway.
